Here is our specialized 4-Night, 5-Day Takdah- Lamahatta-Tinchuley itinerary, designed for peace and immersion.
The Heritage & Mist Trail: Takdah & Beyond
Day 1
Arrival & The Colonial Welcome
- Pickup from NJP/Bagdogra and drive to Takdah Heritage Village (approx. 3.5 hours).
- Check into a cozy and beautiful homestay.
- Evening walk through the misty pine forests and visit the Takdah Orchid Centre, one of the best in Asia.
Day 2
The Three Villages (Tinchuley & Lamahatta)
- Short drive to Tinchuley (the Three Chulhas'). Visit the Gumbadara Viewpoint for a panoramic view of the Teesta River and Kanchenjunga.
- Continue to Lamahatta Eco-Park. Walk through the 'sacred grove' of pine trees to reach the hilltop lake (Pokhri).
- Return to Takdah for a quiet evening by a fireplace.
Day 3
Tea Gardens & River Valleys
- Visit the lush Rangliot Tea Estate, famous for some of the finest Darjeeling tea.
- Drive down to the Triveni - the confluence of the Teesta and Rangeet rivers. (Optional: White- water rafting if you're feeling adventurous!).
- Visit the Peshok Tea Garden viewpoints on the way back.
Day 4
Monasteries & Local Life
- Visit the Takdah Monastery, offering a serene atmosphere and a great view of the valley.
- Explore the local village of Baramangwa or Chotamangwa to see orange orchards (seasonal) and experience authentic Himalayan farm life.
- Enjoy a traditional home-cooked 'Pahari' dinner at your bungalow.
Day 5
Farewell to the Hills
- Breakfast with a view of the mountains
- Transfer back to NJP/Bagdogra.
